Confident "Think and Speak" Communications
How to think and speak on your feet more strategically
Most communication is informal and impromptu. And yet in business, we can be far more effective if we use a process to think and speak on our feet more strategically. How often have you been asked an important question or to provide a quick update, and felt afterwards that you should have responded differently? This session will discuss six typical problem areas and how to remedy them.
When you leave this session you will have learned:
•What to do when your mind goes blank or you don’t know where to start
•Tips you can use to collect your thoughts before you speak
•How to come across more confident and responsive
•How to handle situations when you don't have a good answer
•How to respond when the question is unclear
•What to do when you feel on the defense
•Why filler words make you seem uncertain and how to stop using them
•Why you may repeat yourself and how to stop the “broken record” syndrome
•How to respond so that your answer comes across clear and confident
